Fri. Feb. 7, 1913

I’ve hurried all day! OO. This P.M. with Helen’s help I made a “Hades” with flames and spirits, skuls[sic] and everything  went to gym played basketball then I fixed my stenciled curtains over a long nightgown into Grecian affect and would bunting around a curtain rod & cane for a shepherds crook. We draped Abe Linclon’s[sic] statue up in a sheet for Pluto and with a pasteboard Lyre. I acted out the part of Orpheus and “Billy” Kiese [or Riese] was Euridice[sic]. All the tabeleaus was fine great! There was Mr. & Mrs. Washington. Jack & Jill. Romeo & Juliet. And oh lots of them. They played other games and I guess we showed the Euro’s a good time. The ice cream was nut ice cream with a red heart shaped strawberry ice in the middle. It was an allround success.
