Sat. Aug. 1, 1914

Well I came home from Edna’s this morning and while I hated to leave there still I was glad to get home  this room of mine looks fine to me. I found a “round robin” letter from the Y.W.C.A. cabinet girls waiting for me and it seemed so good to hear from all those dear girls. I answered that and wrote to May. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are visiting us now and I know I am going to love them. This P.M. Vera Perry and I went out to the Country Club to watch the finals of the men’s tennis and David Polasky won singles from Arthur Chenney and gained perminent[sic] possession of his cup for the City Championship  then he & Mr Pell had a Great fight for the doubles from Stone & Osborne  then they stopped with 2 sets each and Hosmer & Harold 3 games on the last set. This evening Vera & I went down town to the library and I also got some music. Well goodnight diary.
