Clerked and tonight I met Ralph walking up Main St. so [of] course we walked together, he brought me home and when he asked if he could take me down to get an “egg chocolate” tonight it seemed so natural I said yes. So we went down town this evening and came back, we sat by the grate fire for a while then went out doors but somehow he just couldn’t go and we talked it all over again. Oh diary how can he love me so when I’m so cruel I don’t know what I ought to do. I don’t seem to care for him that way It was about 12:30 when finally he went and I’ll probably see him again Dec. 11. He said at last that no matter how long it took I would just have to care for him in the end. Oh dear what will the next three months be?
