K2 Guild Sock Group
Warm socks provide a little bit of comfort in the cold days of winter – and a pair of hand-knitted socks is an extra special treat.
The ladies of the K2Guild have been knitting together for about 15 years. There are several groups in Kalamazoo – each with a different knitting focus. Many donate their pieces for good causes: hats and shawls to the Cancer Center or lap blankets to the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Battle Creek. There is never a lack of appreciative recipients for their unique hand-knitted pieces of comfort.
One particular study group decided to challenge themselves by each knitting a pair of socks from Sock Knitting Master Class: Innovative Techniques & Patterns from Top Designers, by Ann Budd. Some of those socks are displayed here.
Later this winter a few of these will keep some cold feet nice and warm!
